Project overview

As part of Southwark Council’s efforts to enhance walking, cycling, and active travel in the community I implemented a series of targeted changes along Peckham Rye East, aligning with the council’s vision. These changes included the installation of segregated cycle lanes in both northbound and southbound directions, providing safer routes for cyclists. Additionally, I introduced an informal crossing point to facilitate pedestrian movement, making it easier for people to navigate this area safely. Notably, this segment of Peckham Rye is a critical part of Cycleway 35, TfL’s strategic cycling route from Bermondsey to Catford. My efforts aimed to bridge a gap along this route, fostering connectivity between Peckham High Street and Nunhead Lane by Incorporating hands-on design expertise using AutoCAD.
